Our goal is to institutionalize and integrate respect for peoples’ differences into every aspect of the business we conduct. The importance of diversity is woven into our beliefs, values, policies, programs and procedures.

GC Services obtains listings from the SBA PASS and the Office of Enterprise Development identifying potential subcontractors categorized as historically underutilized businesses. Subcontracts have been awarded to various categories of small businesses after we identified them through these sources. We maintain a master record of all vendors utilized and their self-certified status as either: small, HUBZone small, small-disadvantaged, disabled veteran-owned, or women-owned small businesses.

GC Services also identifies and recruits small/small-disadvantaged businesses through periodic attendance at small, minority, and women-owned business procurement conferences and trade fairs. Self-certification requests are mailed to all vendors annually to update the master record. GC Services has a specific executive-level position with responsibility for our overall subcontracting program.  This individual ensures that small/small-disadvantaged subcontractors maintain their certification, seeks new subcontractors as needed, reviews small business utilization reports and ensures utilization goals are being met, and is responsible for contractual reporting obligations relating to small business utilization.
