Executive Team

Frank A. Taylor, Chief Executive Officer and President

Mr. Taylor is responsible for all aspects of company operations and marketing, including strategic planning, financial performance, project implementation, operations performance, and client relations.  A results-oriented executive with broad experience in marketing, operations and corporate management, Mr. Taylor began his career with GC Services over 30 years ago. Under Mr. Taylor’s leadership, GC Services has grown from several hundred employees to nearly 9,000 collection and call center professionals located in National Service Centers across the United States, Barbados, and the Philippines.


Mark A. Schordock, Executive Vice President - Customer Service and First Party Outsourcing Divisions

As Executive Vice President, Mr. Mark Schordock has over 24 years experience in the accounts receivable and call center industry.  In addition to his duties as an officer at GC Services, Mr. Schordock maintains executive oversight for GC Services’ Customer Care Services Division and First Party Collection Division.  In this role, he supports the operation and oversight of the personnel in these divisions.  


Daniel R. Cook, Executive Vice President – Third Party Operations

Mr. Cook is responsible for all aspects of company operations with primary accountability for GC Services’ Third Party Collection Division, including automotive, bankcard/financial services, governmental, and telecommunication clients.  Mr. Cook’s scope of accountability includes strategic planning, financial performance, project implementation, competitive standing, and client relations.  Mr. Cook has worked for GC Services for over 31 years.


Gary L. Hopkins, Executive Vice President – Student Loan Operations Division

Mr. Hopkins is responsible for executive leadership of GC Services' Student Loan Operations Division and has over 20 years of industry experience.  This division, under Mr. Hopkins' leadership, manages government student loan receivable services provided by GC Services for all guarantor clients and the U.S. Department of Education.  Mr. Hopkins sets goals for overall operational and administrative responsibilities, as well as provides executive-level leadership in the management of GC Services’ approach for handling defaulted student loan portfolios.  Mr. Hopkins is a FY2005 recipient of the Presidential Rank Award for Meritorious Executives, which is bestowed annually by the U.S. government.


Meagan M. Conway, Executive Vice President, Human Resources and Employee Relations

Ms. Conway began her career with a law firm in Kansas City before being recruited by ExxonMobil where she worked for nine years. Ms. Conway came to GC Services as a labor and employment lawyer.  Ms. Conway currently serves as Executive Vice President of Human Resources and Employee Relations.  She handles all Labor and Employment matters, as well as managing the Human Resources team and managing outside counsel on litigation matters. Ms. Conway has been with GC Services for 12 years.


Michael D. Jones, Executive Vice President, Finance, and Chief Financial Officer 

Mr. Jones is a CPA and has over 24 years experience in financial and operational matters covering a broad array of industries. He enjoyed a 15 year career in public accounting, where he was partner prior to joining GC Services more than eight years ago. As Executive Vice President of Finance and Chief Financial Officer, Mr. Jones is responsible for strategic financial planning and risk management, financial reporting and compliance, process improvement, project implementation, and change facilitation.


Linda M. Spellicy, Senior Vice President, Treasury

Ms. Spellicy has over 26 years experience in the call center and collection industry, where she has held various managerial responsibilities within GC Services’ treasury and finance departments. She has successfully assisted in implementing automated solutions to ensure the delivery of quality products. Ms. Spellicy began her professional career as a bookkeeper in GC Services’ Houston, Texas facility. Her day-to-day responsibilities include the daily operation of cash management, payment processing, invoice processing, accounts receivable, treasury call center, and general ledger reconciliations.


Robert D. Wilson, Senior Vice President, IT Infrastructure

Mr. Wilson has over 31 years experience in IT Management.  He is a results-driven executive with a demonstrated track record for restructuring low-performing areas, upgrading operational efficiencies, and increasing productivity.  Mr. Wilson leads the voice, data, and network infrastructure design and support organizations, integrating them in a single, centralized team that drives both innovation and compliance across GC Services’ international infrastructure.


Craig M. Cappelle, Senior Vice President, IT Applications

Mr. Cappelle is an experienced executive responsible for managing GC Services’ information technology application and database development and support areas.  His areas of expertise include strategic planning, new product development, operational re-engineering, and system analysis.  Mr. Cappelle has been with GC Services for 14 years and was instrumental in the development of our current client/server systems.  He has more than 25 years cumulative experience developing and supporting collections systems.  


 

Brad C. Batig, Legal Counsel/Assistant to the President

Mr. Batig began his career working in commercial litigation in Houston before being recruited by GC Services to join its in-house legal department.  Mr. Batig currently serves as Legal Counsel and Assistant to the President.  He assists with legal and regulatory matters, project implementation, and various administrative tasks.
